Description

A watching brief was held during the resurfacing of a car park at St. Giles’s Masonic Centre in December 1984. The surface of the yard at the south side of the Masonic centre together with its adjacent access road was covered over with tarmacadam and paving slabs. This involved some disturbance of the underlying deposits but only to a depth of 0.25m. The site was visited regularly during this work but no archaeological features were observed. A few human bones were recovered. <1>
