Description

A watching brief was maintained during the refurbishment of the Albert Hall for use as a Co-operative bank. "The work involved the excavation of a deep trench in the centre of the hall. All the excavated soil contained much topsoil and was possibly dumped during the construction of the Albert Hall."<1>
