Description

A watching brief was maintained during the construction of a small extension on the south side of the main building at Oxford House School. No significant features were revealed. "The 1 metre deep foundation trenches revealed natural sand at depths of between 0.7 metres and 0.9 metres. Between the natural and the site surface was a dark greyish brown sandy loam topsoil, the upper levels of which were subject to much 19th-century disturbance".<1>
